The complete process is actually very simple. Let's explain.

From your mobile phone simply send Guard-Me a text message to set a Guard. Guard-Me will send you confirmation that a Guard has been set. 30 minutes before your message is due to be sent to your contact, Guard-Me will send a reminder text message (or 5 minutes before if the Guard request is less than 30 minutes). You can cancel the Guard at any time to stop your message being sent. If you don't UnGuard before the time specified in your Guard request, your message will be sent to your contact.
To set a Guard, text the word GUARD to 60060 followed by the time you want the Guard to activate, the phone number of the person you want to contact and the message you want to send. E.g.

This Guard will send the message "Hey Phil - went to club x with Becks. Should've got home by now. Phone me ASAP" at 1am to the mobile phone 07701 123456.
Shortly after sending your text, you will receive a confirmation of your Guard. This will remind you of the time the Guard will be activated and will contain your PIN code for deactivating your Guard. This ensures only you can UnGuard.

Text the word UNGUARD followed by the PIN number sent with your Guard confirmation to 60060. If you have registered for an account you must enter your own PIN number which is set in your account.

This will cancel your current Guard. A text confirming that you have successfully deactivated will shortly be received.
You can now set a fresh Guard whenever you need to.
