Although you can use Guard-Me without registering there are many benefits to setting up a free account:

  • Setting up nicknames for your contacts. These nicknames can be used in your Guard request instead of a phone number.

  • Shortcuts which allow you to select more than one contact per Guard.

  • Save money by purchasing Guard-Me 'credits'.

Why type in the same mobile number time-after-time? If you register you can set up nicknames for your contacts. Your Guard request can then include the nickname instead of the phone number:
Here you have set up the nickname for 'Phil'. It's easier to remember and much faster than typing in their phone number.
If you send Guards to the same people, shortcuts allow you to activate a Guard without having to keep specifying the people you wish to contact and can also contain a default message. For example, if you had a shortcut named 'Union', you can activate Guard-Me by sending the following message:
Here you have activated your 'Union' shortcut. In this example, contacts specified in your shortcut will be alerted at 11.30pm with your default message.
Shortcuts can be as flexible as you want. If you want to type in a different message after specifying the shortcut, Guard-Me will use that message instead.
Guard-Me also allows you to select one shortcut as your default. This allows you to just text the word 'Guard' with the time you wish it to be set for.
For example, if your default shortcut was called "union" you could type in:
Here you have activated your default shortcut.
And best of all - registration is free! So go ahead, register now...
